How we handle your information, and the terms that apply when you order.

Privacy

We collect only what we need to fulfill your order and, if you ask us to, to send occasional updates. We don’t sell your information.

What we collect

When you place an order, you provide contact and delivery details, such as your name, email address, shipping and billing addresses, and any other information you choose to enter at checkout. We also keep commercial information about the order, including the pieces purchased, price, and transaction status. Shopify and the payment provider you select process your payment details; we do not receive or store your full card number. When you sign up for updates or a piece’s waitlist, we collect your email address and, for a waitlist, the piece that interests you. If you contact us, we collect the information in your message. The site and its service providers also collect technical and usage information. This may include your IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, interactions, and diagnostic information.

How we use it

We use personal information to process and deliver orders; administer returns and store credit; provide customer service; send updates or waitlist notices you requested; maintain, secure, and understand the site; detect fraud or misuse; and meet accounting, tax, and other legal obligations. Marketing email is sent only when you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing message.

Who we work with

We disclose information only as needed to operate the shop. Shopify provides checkout, order, payment, and commerce services. Klaviyo manages email sign-ups and waitlists. Vercel hosts the site and provides web analytics and performance measurement. Google Analytics and Plausible help us understand site use. Sentry receives technical error reports. USPS receives the contact and delivery details needed to ship an order. We may also disclose information to payment providers, professional advisers, insurers, or government authorities when reasonably necessary to complete a transaction, protect the shop or others, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims. We do not sell or rent personal information.

Cookies and analytics

An essential, first-party cookie keeps track of your Shopify cart for up to 30 days. Plausible and Vercel Web Analytics provide aggregate measurement without tracking cookies. Shopify may also use cookies and similar technologies when you use its checkout. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though the cart or checkout may not work as expected. Browsers may also send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no common standard for that signal, this site does not currently respond to it. Other providers may collect site-usage information as described above.

Your choices

You can ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. We may need to verify your request, and some information may be kept where reasonably necessary to complete a transaction, maintain required records, prevent fraud, or comply with law. Email info@lizfryett.com with your request. You can also unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any message.

How long we keep it

We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here. Order and transaction records may be retained for fulfillment, returns, accounting, tax, dispute-resolution, and legal requirements. Email sign-up and waitlist information is kept until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or it is no longer needed. Service providers keep technical information according to their own retention schedules.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information, and we limit what the storefront itself collects. No online service or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The shop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here and the effective date will be updated. If a change materially affects how personal information is used, we will provide any additional notice required by law.

Terms

By using this site or placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

Who these terms are with

This shop operates under the name LIZ FRYETT. These terms are between you and Liz Fryett, a sole proprietor doing business as LIZ FRYETT. They apply when you use this site or place an order through it.

Handmade, one at a time

Every piece is made by hand, one at a time, and most exist as a single unit. Because they’re handmade, small variations in finish, stone, and dimension are natural and are part of the work — not defects. Photographs are as accurate as we can make them, but color can vary between screens. This does not exclude responsibility for a piece that is damaged, defective, or materially different from its description.

Availability & orders

Since most pieces exist as a single unit, an item may sell out while it’s in your cart. Orders are subject to availability and verification. We may decline or cancel an order because a piece is unavailable, payment cannot be authorized, shipping information is incomplete, or a price or product listing contains a material error. If we cancel after payment, we will refund the affected amount to the original payment method.

Pricing & payment

Prices are in US dollars. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are shown at checkout. Payment is processed through Shopify and the payment provider you select; we do not receive or store your full card number. We may correct pricing errors and cancel affected orders with a full refund.

Shipping & returns

We currently ship only within the US. Current processing times, delivery estimates, rates, and methods are listed in the FAQ. If we cannot ship within the time stated, we will contact you with the options required by applicable law. Returns are available within 14 days of delivery for store credit only, subject to the conditions and final-sale exceptions in our returns policy. Nothing in that policy limits rights or remedies that cannot be waived, including rights relating to goods that arrive damaged, defective, or not as ordered.

Your use of this site

Site text, photographs, graphics, and branding are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by applicable law. You may use the site for personal, noncommercial shopping. You may not copy or reuse site content without permission, interfere with the site, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, or use the site unlawfully.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the site or a purchase. Our total liability arising from a purchase will not exceed the amount paid for the affected piece. These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability, warranty, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This clause requires review alongside the confirmed operator identity above.

Governing law

These terms and purchases made through the site are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not deprive you of protections that applicable law does not allow you to waive.

General terms

If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply. Failure to enforce a term once is not a waiver of it. These terms, together with the returns policy and the order information shown at checkout, form the agreement for your purchase. We may revise these terms prospectively by posting an updated version and changing the effective date.
